Grand opening of the Princeton Bridge of Dreams
May 10, 2010
Princeton’s new bridge officially opened April 15, 2010, on the 95th anniversary of the opening of the historic original Kettle Valley Railroad Bridge of Dreams.
The new 200-foot, hybrid wood-steel, covered double-span footbridge was a collaboration between Fast + Epp and affiliated design-build company StructureCraft Builders Inc. It was constructed on top of the existing piers of the Old Kettle Valley Railway Bridge, alongside the steel bridge for vehicular traffic over the Tullameen River.
