Nick Bevilacqua
Since joining Fast + Epp in 2013, Nick has stepped into a key role within our transportation and education sectors as part of our management team. Within our office, he is responsible for ensuring the high-level service our clients and collaborators have come to expect – Nick oversees firm-wide quality control and project management practices, drawing from his almost 20 years of experience in the structural engineering industry. In 2022, Nick moved into the Managing Principal role for the firm and is responsible for overseeing all aspects of our consultancy.
Nick’s project experience is broad, enabling him to be fluent in all building types and primary structural materials. Most recently, he has led the structural design of the Edmonton Valley Line West LRT, Burrard SkyTrain Station Expansion, the Kelowna Airport Terminal Expansion in the transportation sector and the Bayview Elementary School, wək̓ʷan̓əs tə syaqʷəm , and the Simon Fraser University Lorne Davies Complex Renewal in the education sector.
Nick’s signatures are organization, thoroughness, and dedication – in all he does, there is an attention to detail that ensures quality of delivery. He plays a key role is our company’s Equity, Diversity and Inclusivity department, supporting the mandate to maintain a diverse work environment and promote harmonious working relationships.
Nick strongly believes in the sharing of knowledge and lessons learned and has contributed to a number of publications including the EGBC ‘s Professional Practice Guidelines and Forest Innovation Investment’s Wood Use in British Columbia Schools, 2nd Edition. He has also been actively involved with industry organizations including ACEC-BC, the Canadian Wood Council and Wood WORKS! BC.
