401 West Georgia Street Construction Nearing Completion

Oxford Properties’ new mid-rise office tower – known as the North Tower, at 401 West Georgia Street is nearing completion. The 160,000 square feet “Class A” office tower stands in the heart of downtown Vancouver, BC, and is Amazon’s first purpose-built office building. The new office will be home for more than 1,000 Amazon employees.

The architectural vision behind the nine-storey concrete structure is inspired by urban loft and industrial design – where interior wood ceilings and polished concrete floors modernize the industrial-style building, while the exterior is finished with metal framing and glass windows to allow for ample daylight into the building.

Inspiring to be a social space for the innovative global tech firm, the new $47 million tower will include retail space at the ground level as well as two levels of below-grade parking to accommodate new additions and construction. The project has also been awarded LEED Gold and BOMA Earth Award for its sustainable initiatives.
